Scheduling flow
Scheduling flow
Despite my desire to conduct research and user interviews, there were higher-priority tasks for the development team, and we agreed to tackle those first. My role was to design prototypes so that the team could start coding them, thereby saving time to carry out my research. This way, I would gain the time needed to conduct the research.
When integrating new clinics into the online scheduling service, we encountered four scenarios:

Clinics that only inform opening hours

User reserach
Interviews
As I began the research, I understood that the user concentration was the result of a deal struck years ago with the owner of a supermarket chain called Super Rede. They offered our product as a benefit to their employees, paying a monthly fee at a discounted rate per user.
- 4 Interviews
- 3 Eployees
- 1 Owner

Important answers:
Employees:
“If it wasn’t a benefit, I wouldn’t subscribe.”
“It’s good for those who don’t have health insurance.”
Owner:
“I decided to offer the medical consultation service as a benefit because I believe that a healthy team is more productive. I want to provide something that goes beyond just work.”

Research Insight
Research Insight
Insights from our research showed that users cared far more about savings than scheduling convenience. To address this, we shifted our messaging from “easy booking” to “significant savings,” prominently showcasing our discounted rates at the very start of the user journey.
At the same time, we introduced the Doutor Já Health Wallet: a prepaid health-credit account that employers can offer as a benefit, positioning it as an affordable, accessible alternative to traditional health insurance.
Health Wallet Wireframes and Features

Features
Deposit credits to be spent on medical appointments
Control benefits and activities
Bonuses and rewards
An app for the whole family
Allows you to schedule appointments
Get insights into your employees’ habits
Doutor Já Health wallet
The research results led us to adopt a different approach to the product. Instead of focusing our campaigns on individual consumers, we shifted our focus to small and medium-sized businesses. We also redesigned the product to become a medical appointment credits app. The Health Wallet Doutor Já was born.
